Beauty School? I want to go to beauty school, so bad. The problem is I have 2 nine month old twins. I don't want to leave them in day care all day. How do beauty schools work (schedule) is their online beauty school. Learning how to do hair and makeup. Thanks |
| I'm going to cosmetology school right now and we have a couple people who are part time students. It may take a little over 13 months to finish depending on the school you choose and how many hours are required for your state, but you only go for a half day so you could try that? Or even to be an estetician (skin and makeup) I think that is like a 5 month program. Something like that. |
Beauty school? i want to go to beauty school...is it worth it are there any good ones in sacramento |
| my cousin went to beauty school and now she has her own salon...shes really happy too. not always the best money but she has a pretty good lifestyle |
Beauty school? Do you need a GED to go into beauty school. or do they let you wait and get it befor you graduate? I dropped out in 10th grade. Started working full time. Now i want to do somthing in Beauty school. Do they want you to have your GED or can you get it while in beauty school as long as its befor you graduate? |
| Yes |
Are online beauty schools as good as going to a beauty school? Has anyone got a degree from an online beauty school, and if so, is it the same as a degree if you go to an actual beauty school. I found some online beauty schools, but I don't know if it will be worth it when it comes to finding a job. I don't know if they will look at it and think its not as good as getting a diploma from a beauty school where you actually go to. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. |
I cannot imagine how one could study this area of technical skill online.
This kind of work involves learning how to do things with your hands, understanding the tools, learning how the products work and feel when applied.
The only way I can see to learn this is to actually handle the stuff. Yes, there will be some theory/knowledge you could study on line. But after that, you'll have to apprentice. |
What is beauty school like and doing hair? I am in high school and I really need to start thinking of a job to do out of high school. Something I have a passion for is hair makeup skin and fashion. I would really like to go to beauty school (considering Paul Mitchell right now) out of high school, but I was wondering what beauty school is like, and what the actual field of being a hairstylist is like for people that have experienced it. Whats the pay like? Whats the pro's and con's to it? Would opening your own business be the smart thing to do?
Thanks! |
Hey. I can recommend three awesome beauty school sites to you that will be able to answer all your questions.
Check out your options on Beauty School (www.beautyschool.com) and Beauty School Directory (www.beautyschoolsdirectory.com). Both sites are great resource sites that group together quality schools. You can search for a certain program or schools in a particular state. Both sites are easy to use and can help you with just about any question you have about beauty school. Plus, you can actually request free information from any of the schools that look interesting.
Also check out My Social Beauty (www.mysocialbeauty.com). Its the beauty social networking site for the cosmetology industry. You can connect with other beauty students, teachers and professionals and it has tons of great articles and beauty advice by Kimberley Bosso and other beauty celebrities and beauty experts in the industry. I use it often! You can search for schools and request free info as well. www.mysocialbeauty.com/find-a-cos…

What would you call a beauty school that teaches everything? Is there a kind of beauty school that teaches everything like: hair, nails, makeup, etc or do they not have those anymore? My mom went to beauty school when she was younger and they taught her all of that. |

If I start beauty school, could I become a sort of apprentice at a spa? I'm going to be attending the esthetics program in beauty school in January, and I want to set myself up for success. The more I know about the industry, the better I'll feel. Do spa's or salons take on apprentices or anything?
Thanks so much! |

What is the best beauty school in Memphis? I am looking into attending a beauty school in Memphis, Tennessee. Which is the best school? There are quite a few. Paul Mitchell, Empire Beauty School, Tennessee Academy, etc. I know that Empire has a few bad comments (from the same person) online but they are for different & distant cities. I would love to have comments, information regarding anything & everything (cost, what to expect, etc.) from some actual hair stylists. |
I know of two cosmetology resource sites that list great cosmetology schools. Check out Beauty School (www.beautyschool.com) and Beauty School Directory (www.beautyschoolsdirectory.com) to find cosmetology schools in Memphis. Both sites are easy to use and can help you with just about any question you have about beauty school. Plus, you can request free information from any of the schools that look interesting.

What are the requirements for going to a beauty school to cut hair? I dropped out of high school because i got pregnant and i still haven't been able to get my GED yet.
what are the requirements for going to a beauty school and how much does the school usually cost?
i dont know what state i will be in as my husband is in the military. |
| It does depend on the state. In my state you need to be at least 17 and have a high school diploma. My schooling cost me just under $16,000 and took 10 months to complete. Once you get to your new location I suggest you go to the local cosmetology school and ask the requirements and cost. In the meantime I suggest you get your GED. You can do this online or contact the local high school to get information on how to get it locally. |
