Big legs??!? i have HUGE thighs/calves and i want to know how to make them slimmer??
i play soccer and i take a modern dance class, but that only gets them bigger! i know its all muscle, but i don't want huge muscular legs...I WANT SLIM ONES!!
and excersizes to achieve this?

Stretch before working out.
Run outside or on the treadmill.
Climb stairs outside or on the StairMaster.
Swim, yes swimming does tone legs as well as the entire body lean, firm, solid muscle toned.
Always finish your work outs with stretching to prevents sprains, strains and torn tendons.
Drink a glass of purfiltred skim milk after you finish your work out. If you do swim, then wait at least an hour and half before you drink milk. |

What are the best designer jeans to buy for people with big legs? my problem is that my legs are VERY big, but my waste isnt, its prbly like a 34-36. i play football, and the weight lifting for years has made my legs really like muscular and they are wayy to big for like abercrombie etc. i like to wear nice clothes, but this kindof prevents me from wearing nice jeans. any suggestions? |
| My boyfriend played soccer his entire life, so his legs are big, too. The jeans that fit him the best are from Lucky Brand and Joe's Jeans, but he's really particular about his jeans. Most designer jeans will fit really well (7 for all Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, etc.). |
How to get rid of big butt and big legs? I do dancing and my legs got muscly because of it. Is there any way I can keep doing dancing but have skinnier legs?

Big legs???? I'm young, and really self consious (or however you spell it) I used to eat a lot, and all that fat went down to my legs. the lower part of my leg is fat in a way, people say its from eating meat. The higher part (as you can tell I don't know the names of those) is just what I feel like blubber.I'm super super super skinny like a stick everywhere else, so I feel like all the attention goes to my HUGE legs. How do I lose weight there, cuz everything I tried only loses weight everywhere else!!! HELP! |

If I start long distance running will I get big legs? I want to start long distance running but I don't want to get big, bulky legs. My calf is about 11in in circumference at it widest part and my thighs are about 18.5 inches in circumference at their widest part and I'd like them to stay that size. I really want to start running to get into better shape and get healthy. Oh and I'm a vegan so should I eat any certain food before I run? Thank you :) |
uhh why would you get big bulky legs? have you ever looked at a person who runs a lot? your legs will l slim and be muscular (if you do it enough), but not bulky or big.
i don't know all the limitations of being a vegan, but usually when professional runners are going to go on a long run they eat things like pancakes or potatoes. things that are starchy like that because if they eat something small, their stomach will eat on itself because it needs something in it to be burning calories from. hope this helped! |
What is better for slimming down big legs, running/jogging, or cycling? I'm currently cycling on a stationary bike thrice a week at "weight loss mode-" the resistance alternates between higher and lower. I'm afraid this will give me bigger legs. I don't want to build any bulk, and I've read about cycling making your legs big. Should I start running instead? I only want to lose fat, not build a lot of muscle. |
Cycling won't make your legs bigger unless you decide to be a track sprinter or train at a low pedalling cadence in big gears. Your current training, being geared to weight loss, will be generally low intensity although as you get more advanced you will be able to do higher intensities to burn off calories faster.
Advice: keep your pedalling cadence relatively high at around 80 -100 rpm and gradually build up intensity. If you really want to slim down get a bike and enjoy touring around your local countryside you will find you can do it for longer because it is great fun, especially if you do it with friends. OR you could try 'spinning' classes at your local gym.
Running/jogging will have similar effects it just depends on which you like best. I live near an international athletics stadium and sometimes see women middle distance runners training. From a blokes point of view the long slim legs are all just terrific!! |
Does going up and down the stairs everyday make my legs BIG and muscular? im not a very big fan of big legs and muscular ones. i just hate looking at those legs.. i dont want my legs to get bigger or fatter. |
You have a very wrong idea of what makes legs big and muscular!
First off, you are a woman, so your ability to build muscles quickly is actually quite subdued. And don't knock people with muscles -- they didn't get those muscles walking up and down stairs, it took quite a bit of effort!
Second, if walking the stairs doesn't make your muscles sore, you're fine. Muscles only get bigger when they're sore and have to rebuild the torn tissue. Therefore if your muscles never get sore, they'll never get bigger. On the contrary, if you don't stimulate your muscles from time to time (stimulate them so that they get sore once in a while), they'll get smaller!
Creating muscle creates a natural fat burner built right into your body. So by making bigger muscles, they will help burn the fat already on your body and you'll be better off in the long run. Hit the gym, never fear muscles. They can only do good for your body and looks.
And be patient. Don't try to shed 20 pounds in 1 month. Try shedding 5 pounds a year, that's a good target. And shed it the right way, by building muscle. In 5 years, you'll have good eating habits and good exercise habits and those pounds will NEVER come back.

What is the best way to get big legs? My legs are really stick thin and its so unatractive. I'd like to get my legs as big as they can get (and trust me, that'll still be really thin). I always eat a sufficient amount but I guess maybe I'm eating the wrong things, or not excercizing enough, or in the wrong way.
Please help! Any recipes or workout ideas or really anything!!!!

Leg Extensions to build your quads.
Leg Curles
Calve raises
Start light, 3 sets 12 to 15 reps.
After 3 months, change to 3 sets, 10 to 12 reps.
Summer time, go for bulk, 3 sets of 6 to 10 reps. Do this for only 3 months then go back to 3 sets of 10 to 12 reps.
You can do these in your home with out a spotter if you feel embarrassed.
After a year and you have strengthen your knees, you can add squats. No lower than a sitting position and you MUST have a spotter.
Last, add protein to your diet. Go the your local GNC and buy a good Whey protein. This will feed your muscles and build them.
Remember, take it slow. If you injure yourself, it's two steps backwards. |
