Non-party Sweet Sixteen ideas?
My birthday is in May, so I know I have time, but I figure I should start planning now if I end up doing anything that requires a lot of thinking ahead. It's been a while since I've done anything more than dinner out and casual gift-opening, so I want to do something cool this year. I'm not a big fan of traditional parties (I'd feel overwhelmed... Hard to explain.), so I want to find another way to celebrate with 5-10 friends, plus my super cool parents and 12-year old brother. I was thinking of going to an amusement park or something, which is actually a feasible option; I just don't want to get too, too expensive (for my parents' sake... They tend to spoil me, which I'm definitely okay with XD; I just don't want to go from grateful to greedy.) I have plenty of other ideas, but I also have a few high-maintenance potential guests (that I love dearly)... the hydrophobe (beach), the city girl (camping), the grown-up baby (anything that could induce whining) At some point, I'd draw the line and do what I want (catering to all of their "needs" would age me 30 years on my 16th birthday), so long as there's a way for everyone to have some fun, but I do want to be considerate.

What have you former teenies done, or wanted to do, that wouldn't be at home on MTV?
I just asked this question lol, im 16 in May aswell. so its before exams, i really don't know what to do.
Not simple cinema or eating out.
Yeah and not like a theme park or paintball or anything....
itss soo confusing...
but now that ive been thinking about it, i might think about having like just like a movie day and sleepover... cos never really done that before...
When will the Jonas Brothers craze be over?
Open your eyes, young teenies.

They're average looking, not hot. Nick has a whiny voice that cracks all the time, admit it. He's all wrapped up in the Disney girls [i.e. Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez]. Joe used to be funny and cool but he started dating some fame-moocher who makes fake jewelry [Camilla Belle] haha. Kevin's the only humble one. They used to be the sweetest guys ever... but they sold out.

I'm sorry but they will only relate to their Christian fans. They only date white Christian girls if you haven't noticed. I blame the bias mentality on their father, former pastor "Papa J".

So yeah. They've changed, and it's been hard for me to watch them change. Fame has taken its toll on them.

Now they're EVERYWHERE. When will it end?
One, they are attractive BECAUSE of their personalities.
Two, they have changed but did not become completely different guys nor sold out
Three, they do not date just Christians. is Camilla a Christian? Zoe (Kevin's ex) wasn't a Christian. Miley may say she's Christian but she's not. it's just an act. I don't think Amelia Than-Aye (the model Joseph dated) was a Christian.
maybe I'm wrong. maybe they do want Christians but they don't need someone highly religious, just someone who believes in God. I don't see a problem with it though. many people look to date someone with the same morals. if you don't have the same morals it usually doesn't work.

Nick is only 16. his voice could still be developing and that's why it cracks. he might just be a late bloomer (I was. I didn't get my period til I was almost 18)
just because Nick dated Selena and Miley doesn't make him a bad person. sure they are both Disney girls but have you ever considered that it's a coincidence? he's just trying to date girls he can get to.

Joseph still is funny. have you even seen the new Moviefone interview? how do you know Camilla is dating him for the fame? they are still dating and she's already as famous as she can get with him. just because an unfamous girl who's in the biz dates a really famous guy doesn't mean she's in it for fame.
yeah I'll admit, I *kinda* don't like that they are dating because he wants to be all mature for her (so it's a little too much maturity to be just him getting older) but he's happy with her. that's all that matters. don't judge his taste in girls. Camilla seems like a nice girl to me. who are you to tell him who he should and should not date?
yes he's not as funny but he can't always be funny. do you know how hard it is for someone to keep up the label as "the funny one"? some of you always expect him to be goofy and he can't do that all the time. he's a grown man. he's not a boy anymore. he has to be serious once in a while

don't complain about them changing. people change as they get older. they're still the same guys deep inside, just older and more mature. if you're 19 you should understand that. I bet you aren't exactly the same person you were when you were younger either

the Jonas Brothers aren't even that famous anymore. people are getting tired of them (some of them are people like you who whine about them changing) it may not seem like it to you but their fame is dying out, little by little. it's not 2008 anymore where they are the in thing. where have you been at? Twilight is everywhere not the Jonas Brothers!
this site used to have thousands of questions about them. now it's in the 400s. IMDBJB used to be so crowded where you'd have to refresh the page like every 5 minutes. now it's not that active anymore and at times it's dead.
plus if you haven't noticed, their 3-D movie bombed.

Maybe you could get a joint room at a hotel and have your mom and dad and brother in one room and your friends in the the other room. then you guys could have cake and icecream and pizza by the pool. You could have a picture scavenger hunt. (someone make questions and divide the girls into two groups and onece you decode the question, find it and take a picture with everyone in it. the team that finishes first wins a prize). Then you can go swimming and such. Hotel rooms are probably around $100.
Hope this helps. and happy early birthday! :)
